We provide
sustainable preparedness
Preparedness and emergency water planning are fundamental parts of societal crisis preparedness and crucial for reducing the consequences of disruptions to the drinking water supply. By preparing for the unexpected and maintaining an emergency stock of water, it is possible to minimise risks, increase resilience to potential disruptions, and ensure a safe and stable water supply.
Aqua Nobel provides a dependable solution for ensuring access to clean drinking water, even during times of crisis. Our services and products are designed for public organisations such as municipalities, government agencies, and regions, as well as for businesses and private individuals.
Pure spring water of the highest quality
Aqua Nobel’s water is bottled from our spring in Mörarp, located 105 metres deep. Here, the water is naturally filtered through layers of sandstone, claystone, moraine, shale, and gneiss, which gives it a unique purity and freshness. The thick bedrock layers protect the spring entirely from pollutants such as fertilisers, pesticides, and PFAS, ensuring clean and safe drinking water of the highest quality.
Aqua Nobel’s spring has a high capacity, allowing large volumes of water to be tapped and delivered quickly and efficiently. Our advanced bottling system ensures that the water is handled without contamination, making it so pure that it is recommended for immunocompromised patients.

Preparedness solutions for a secure drinking water supply
Before a permanent solution is established, there is a need for a temporary solution to ensure access to clean drinking water. This is where Aqua Nobel’s products and services come in.
Today, we offer two service options: “WaaS Subscription” and “Water on Demand”. It is also possible to purchase water directly, either through retailers such as ADDA, 24HMeal, or via our webshop.
What does good water preparedness entail?
In a crisis, the regular drinking water supply can be disrupted. Therefore, it is essential to have emergency water available to meet the need until the regular water supply is restored. Good water preparedness for a municipality or public organisation means having a plan and resources to ensure continuous access to clean drinking water, even during crises. This includes having emergency water plans that cover alternative water sources and distribution methods, as well as conducting regular exercises and training.
By investing in solid water preparedness, we not only protect our citizens but also ensure that critical societal functions can continue to operate without interruption.
Who is responsible for drinking water preparedness?
- Municipalities have a local responsibility to ensure access to drinking water.
- Individuals are encouraged to have their own water preparedness to cope with shorter crises.
- The Swedish Food Agency (Livsmedelsverket) monitors and regulates the safety and quality of drinking water.
- The Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) supports and coordinates preparedness planning.
How much water is needed?
Water requirements vary between individuals and are influenced by factors such as age, gender, body size, metabolism, health status, lifestyle, including physical activity and diet, and the climate we live in. According to the Nordic Nutrition Recommendations, an appropriate daily fluid intake should be 2–2.5 litres from food and drink.
Sustainable packaging for secure preparedness
Planet-friendly packaging
Aqua Nobel’s packaging is up to 83% better for the environment than traditional plastic bottles, thanks to our use of plant-based materials. The packaging is made from high-quality, certified wood fiber, and the cap is made from Bon Sucro-certified sugarcane.
Packaging Features
- 5-year shelf life
Our packaging ensures that the water stays fresh for an extended period, with a shelf life of up to 5 years. - Stackable
The design makes the packages easy to store and transport, saving space and improving logistical efficiency. - Biodegradable
The packaging is made from environmentally friendly, plant-based materials that decompose naturally. - Heat resistant
The packaging withstands high temperatures without affecting the water’s quality, making it ideal for various storage environments. - Freezable
The packaging can be frozen for extended storage or used as ice packs, increasing its versatility. - Combustible
In an emergency, the packaging can be incinerated, making it a better alternative to plastic. This makes it easier to manage waste disposal if recycling is not an option. However, it’s important to note that the thin film protecting the liquid may produce minor emissions when burned. - Also available as a 5-litre bag-in-box
For more significant needs, we offer a convenient 5-litre bag-in-box, providing flexibility for various uses. - Â
Aqua Nobel is featured in the Safety Podcast
Aqua Nobel and former officer Rickard Thörn participate in the Safety Podcast to discuss preparedness in general, with a particular focus on water preparedness. The conversation highlights the importance of having a plan for access to clean water during crises and how we can all prepare for future challenges.
No traces of PFAS, according to the analysis report
PFAS is a group of chemicals often used in industrial products due to their water- and dirt-repellent properties. However, they are harmful to both the environment and health.
PFAS has unfortunately been detected in drinking water in several locations in Sweden, including Ronneby, Uppsala, and Halmstad, where PFAS from old industries and firefighting training areas has spread into the groundwater.
The results from Eurofins’ analysis report of Aqua Nobel’s spring water from 21 August 2024 indicate that the levels of PAH, PFAS, and THM are below the detection limits, suggesting that the drinking water is safe for consumption. This may be due to the depth of the spring and the thick rock layers that protect the spring from contamination.

SOME OF OUR CUSTOMERS ON STANDBY
Emergency water is a type of water reserve that serves as drinking water when the regular water supply is either cut off or undrinkable, for example, due to contamination. Emergency water is available in ways other than through the tap, such as packaged water or in large water tanks. Emergency water is not a substitute for regular tap water; it is a complement.
In a crisis, the regular water system may be disrupted, or the water may temporarily become unfit to drink due to contamination. Emergency water is a temporary solution until the regular water supply is restored.
In Sweden, municipalities are responsible for ensuring the drinking water supply to their citizens in the event of a crisis. If the regular water supply is disrupted, the municipality must provide access to drinking water through alternative means.
Some crises where regular water supply can be disrupted include natural disasters, pandemics, cyber-attacks, leaks, and war. Additionally, drinking water may become contaminated, rendering tap water unfit for consumption.
Aqua Nobel’s emergency water is not meant to replace tap water; it is a compliment. In times of crisis, when the regular water supply is disrupted due to a situation or contamination, there must be immediate access to water. Having an emergency water stockpile reduces vulnerability to potential disruptions.
An emergency water supply can be used immediately when the regular water supply is unusable, while VAKA is a reinforcement resource that is delivered after a crisis has occurred.
We work with various logistics partners to ensure water can be delivered even during a crisis. We provide emergency water to you and utilise emergency stockpiling to replace your water quickly during a crisis.
We offer two subscription services:
Water as a Service, where the water is stored at the customer’s location.
Water on Demand, where the customer requests up to the agreed amount.
We offer these services across Sweden.
Water can also be ordered on our website.
Aqua Nobel’s water comes from our source in Mörarp. Unlike municipal water, which often comes from surface water, our water comes from a 105-metre-deep source. We conduct regular tests to ensure the quality and purity of the water.
We offer two different solutions that can be tailored to specific needs:
Water as a Service, a complete solution for emergency water storage at the customer’s location, provided at a fixed monthly cost.
Water on Demand, where the customer receives water delivered from Aqua Nobel within 24 hours of request without needing to maintain storage.
You can read more about these two options here .

WaaS Subscription is a complete solution for emergency water storage at the customer’s site at a fixed monthly cost. Aqua Nobel is responsible for replenishing the stock with fresh water when it approaches its best-before date, ensuring continuous access to clean drinking water.
Aqua Nobel’s water has a shelf life of 5 years compared to water in PET bottles or containers, which needs replacement every six months.
How deliveries are ensured depends on the crisis affecting the water supply. In most crises, we can deliver water as usual with the help of our logistics partners. In case of war, we will work with the Armed Forces and authorities to ensure water supply to municipalities.
