Is alkaline water better than regular water?

Alkaline water is not necessarily better than regular water, as both hydrate the body just as effectively. The main differences between alkaline water and regular water lie in pH level and mineral content. Minerals such as calcium, magnesium, and bicarbonate influence both the character and taste of the water. As a result, many people perceive mineral-rich water as having a more pleasant and lively taste.

Another important difference may be water quality. Alkaline spring water often comes from deeper sources, which in some cases means it is free from contaminants such as PFAS – so-called “forever chemicals” that are highly persistent and can accumulate in the body over time.

Aqua Nobel’s spring water is one such example – naturally free from PFAS and protected in its original source. However, there is limited scientific evidence that alkaline water itself provides general health benefits compared to regular water. The choice therefore often comes down to taste, quality, and personal preference.
